Sharn Inquisitive: Sul 8 Therendor- Front Page
Noble Dissapearances Rampant - The rash of dissapearing nobles has reached terrifying proportions. Nearly 40 members of the noble households of Sharn have now dissapeared. Marked, and non alike have all been dissapearing, usually in the night. The watch is completely stymied as to where they might be going. It has stepped up patrols in the skyway and upper city to try to curb the trend, but so far officials have no idea what is going on - though several of the new patrols have turned up dead - or missing. With 40 members of aristocracy gone the city is in an uproar and panic. The mayor has assured the Inquisitive that he is doing everything in his power. Even the legendary heroes of Sharn turned up almost nothing in their search

Constable Szott did bring one piece of information to light, which he claims was delivered to him by none other Cora Olladra Amyrillis. He claims that those who were present during the disaster at the Sharn opera house over two months ago are those who are succeptible to dissapearance. While these claims have not been verified, the watch is asking anyone who was present at the infamous performance of "The Queen's Visitor" to please report to an watch station immediately.

Greywall Defenders Victorious - Devin d'Orien beamed when he delivered the news to our offices - the defenders of the city of Greywall were successful. Our Brelish troops were outnumbered more than 20 to 1. There has not been such a battle since the end of the Last War. Faced with a horrendous army of monsters - medusae, harpies, minotaurs, and gnolls, our brave fighting men and women fought steadfastly.

In their midst were Cora, Thaspar, and Sadie, known widely as as the heroes of Sharn. But now, with their companion Garen, the Inquisitive declares them the heroes of Breland! But they are not the only heroes from that day - for all those brave souls who fought are heroes for this great and glorious nation! Breland stands for justice, and freedom! May Sovereign and Flame alike bless our valiant soldiers in Droaam.

Mourning Service to be Held for Lost Nobles - This Sul a mourning service will be held for the 43 members of Sharn's nobility who were lost in the last few months. No sign has ever been found for them, and the collective opinion of Sharn is that they are now dead - or at least lost forever. Those who attended the performance of "The Queen's Visitor" who reported to watch stations were kept under house arrest. Invariably these men and women went mad and became violent. They screamed out in the night, and told their attendants of terrible nightmares, in which their greatest fear was awakening. Such cases were treated with the services of House Jorasco, and local temples. In the end most were able to return to normal life - though the nightmares remained. None of these victims have shown any signs of relapse in the last couple of weeks, and so it is time to bring this event to a close.

This Sul those who were lost in this horrible event will be remembered with a special commemorative service. Hosted by the joint priests of the Soveriegn Host and the Archeirophant of the Temple of the Cleansing flame, the service will take place in Crystal Park. Is is expected that the entire city council, and several members of parliment will be in attendance. King Boranel, and several nobles from outside of Breland are expected to attend. Each dragonmarked house is expected to send at least one representative. The only house that did not loose any members to the tragedy was House Tharask, but they are excpected to send a concilliatory emmisary.




Unfortunately no Chronicle was written for this adventure. Instead a plot summary is provided.

Summary

• Party returns to Sharn
• They meet Ulweiss a half-elven druid from Eidleret and widow of Majeek
• She says that the rod that they gave to House Kundarak is the only way to seal up the weakening Xoriat gate near Eidleret
• They approach Ulfgar about the rod buth he is unhelpful
• In the mean time they are attacked by a group of horrific warforged with sawblade hands and chainmouths sent by the Lord of the Blades to recover schemas
  
• One ends up being charmed, and Garen takes it upon himself to rehabilitate "Chainmouth"
• They are also threatened by a servant of Merrix d'Cannith for helping the northern branch of House Cannith - he implies that he had Lady Elaydren killed, and that they should hand over any schemas to him
• They decided to travel to Eidleret to check of Ulweiss is telling the truth
